A Dirty Weekend
The next few hours became a blur as we joined a traditional Korean drumming troupe, mud-wrestled with Koreans, painted ourselves with mud, made our own mud soap, swam in the sea, went for a motor boat ride, rode a mudslide through the gapping jaws of a shark and wandered among the crowds.
Plenty to do even on a Tuesday. Don't be fooled into thinking all the good things happen on the weekend.
On the wall there was a prescribed method to the madness of mud bathing, an oxymoron itself. Shower, mud, sauna, shower, salt bath, hot bath, cold bath, rinse and repeat. I followed the steps to the letter and it was the most relaxing part of the day, excluding the little girl who got mud soap in her eyes and used her powerful lungs at full capacity.
